Design consultants from Freese & Nichols are designing streetscape improvements for the section of Hemphill between Rosedale and Allen.
The project's funding dates back to an allocation by the North Central Texas Council of Governments for Magnolia Village in NCTCOG's 2001 Land Use/Transportation Joint Venture program. TIF #4 provided the local matching funds.
Although extended design discussions and administrative steps required by TxDOT have delayed the project, Freese & Nichols is close to finalizing the design and the project could begin construction in early 2011.
