The historic mansion on 8th Avenue was scheduled for demolition only a few years ago. Fortunately a coordinated effort among Fort Worth South, Inc., the City of Fort Worth, and preservation advocates convinced the owner not to sell to the developer of a national gas station franchise.
In 2007 the former Nash House was beautifully restored as the office for local law firm Anderson, Smyer, Riddle, & Kuehler, LLP and Fidelity National Title. The project included the restoration of the front porch back to its original open design.
