Rosedale Streetscape Improvements

In 2004 FWSI's Board of Directors adopted a resolution requesting a more context-sensitive design for Rosedale, specifically a road with a narrower cross-section, lower design speeds, and fewer travel lanes than the 6-lane roadway designed by TxDOT.

Because federal funding conditions dictated the 6-lane design, the City agreed to "retrofit" the roadway after TxDOT's construction.   The retrofit will include street trees along the road side and within the median, pedestrian lights, and other enhancements.

Jacobs Carter Burgess, Inc. prepared a detailed conceptual design and construction cost estimates in 2006. Fort Worth South, Inc. continues to work with the City and NCTCOG to secure additional funds for this project.
